Some of the Grasskeet people use this mixed with seed, has anyone else tried it?

I have not, but I bought some at Costco recently to try in cooking for myself. The darned stuff is kind of expensive, I thought. Do they use it to coat the seed? Do they say what benefit it is supposed to have?

I posted the same question on a couple of the fbk group pages.....Several people use a bit in seed, over veggies and in sprouted seed.

I give a tablespoon every day to my dogs. Great for a lot of things inside and out. I use the 'Virgin Organic'.
I too, would be interested in hearing about those who have tried it with finches. Or, I might get brave and try it myself, and let you know.

I have gotten some feed back on the facebook page regarding it, some use it on themselves, others use a little over sprouts and seed.
this is a link to health benefits and uses....and how to buy quality coconut oil.

Well, I have offered it for 4 days now - no one seems interested. Just a tiny 'glob' on their salad plate. Will try offering it on chitted seed next. Or maybe some smeared on the romaine.
Will let you know what happens.

A few members on some of the pages coat their chitted or soaked seed, veggies in it. I may try a little with a bit of quinoa tomorrow.

I was wondering if your finches have started eating food that contained the coconut oil yet? I purchased some last month to try with my new flock, and thought about adding a drop to their fresh egg food this morning...Any thoughts?
