Do you guys give them egg food while getting them ready for breeding season?

In the spring when my Gould's molt I feed hard boiled eggs everyday for the extra protein. After the molt they go into breeding mode. I reduce the egg to 3 or 4 times a week till they are sitting on eggs, then it goes back up to every day.
