Multi-vitamins

I'm not a fan of adding them to the bird's water at all. But I've been thinking about adding them into the commercial eggfood I offer all the birds dry in their cages.

I've picked up the following two:

Lafaber's Bird Vitamins:

and The Missing Link: The Ultimate Avian Formula:

http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... lInUS%2FNo

Does anyone use these or have any thoughts on including them in the regime?

I don't use vitamins but I did notice that the Missing Link one says "This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only"

Be sure to check all your supplements values, don't feed multiples at one time or you will risk over doing them and that may cause more problems then it solves.

I wonder if the birds will ingest much of a dry powdered vitamin supplement added to dry eggfood, as it seems the vitamins would sift through to the bottom of the dish. I do add a little powdered vitamin supplement to my homemade eggfood.

Good point Sally. The Lafabers is very fine. Like the consistency of powdered sugar so I think it will stick to the food pretty well. Not sure about the Missing Link yet. I haven't opened the bag. And of course I'd follow recommendations for administering it.
