I was at a health food store the other day saw they had Zip Lock bags with about an ounce of dried dandilions and other bags of dried alfalfa sold as tea.

I can't imagine there being any additives so I am assuming it is pure and natural.

Are these okay? Has anyone else used these dried DL or alfalfa teas for their finches before?

Jason Crean is quite well-known in aviculture in the U.S. for his use of herbal teas for birds. He has done quite a bit of research and gives talks at many functions. Here is a link to one article, listing many of the different herbal teas you can offer to your birds. He actually makes tea for the birds to drink, but you can offer many of these teas in a dry form too. Do a search for Jason Crean and herbal teas, and you will find more references to him.
