Zebras not eating millet spray and cuttlebone

WOW! My two boys are very eaters...They eat their seed and I give them hard boiled egg, sprouts and lettuce. And the egg food.

They don't eat the millet in the millet holder. Is the odd? Maybe I should put it in a dish? They also don't seem to use the cuttlebone.

I did get some Snack Attack oyster shell mineral treat and leafy greens and herbs.

Perhaps the millet holder is putting them off. Many simply lay the millet spray on the floor of the cage, but another good way is to hang the millet from the top of the cage with a clothespin. They will hang on the millet spray and nibble away.

Many birds don't use the cuttlebone when it is hung on the side of the cage. I have many cages where the cuttlebone is not touched, but my Strawberries seem to love them. If you are concerned, you could always scrape some of the cuttlebone into a dish with the mineral mix.

Often males don't really mess with the cuttlebone in my experience. It's the hens that need the calcium it provides when breeding. I recently discovered I had forgotten to put my mineral mix in with several breeding pairs and within seconds of my hand being out of the cages each hen was on the dish snacking away.

My birds love their millet. As far as I see, they aren't eating their cuttlebone that much. But otherwise they are really good eaters.

I would put spray millet on a plate at the bottom of the cage. My guys demolish it and ask for more.
Regarding cuttle bone. It seems to have become a big hit overnight. The Gouldians came and started crunching on it like potato chips. CT my Cutthroat, takes big chunks out of it, then sits back humming to himself while he chews it. Zebras and Societies chomp on it now and again and Luciano, Green Singers and Orange Cheeks nibble only now and then.
