Sprouted seeds

Post by MariusStegmann » Wed Sep 03, 2014 5:46 am

What is the best kind of seed to use for sprouted seed? I started of with Jap seed. Then I thought that bigger would be better and used wheat. The problem is that germinating wheat makes a few root as well as a chit. I know that sprouted seed is only good for the birds when the chit just start to come out and it loses it potency the longer it gets.

I just did a mix of Brown top, white proso ad tri colored quinoa...started it at 9 am yesterday and by 2pm the quinoa was sprouting. You can do any type of millet. I also use this site as a guide http://sproutpeople.org/
