viamin suppliments

I bought some morning bird multi vitamin powder. I can't find a good way to administer it. I have tried in the water method. The birds don't seem to drink as much when I do. I tried in the eggfood, but that doesn't get touched either. So now I want to try it in their seed mix.
How should I do that? Add oil to the seed?
I hate stuff measured in pinches

That is why I liked the water method. It had a valid measurement. A pinch can be a little pinch, a big pinch.
Maybe I am using too much on the eggfood.
Only I could make giving vitamins a difficult task, lol
I even thought of ordering some tiny measuring spoons to make things more uniform

I have a pair of Gouldians on eggs, 4 young birds (6 weeks old) 2 spice finches who are starting to moult, 4 societies. So what is the easiest way to get vitamins into them? Will they get use to the water?

I personally don't like adding supplements to the water for that very reason, they may not drink as much, and water is so vital to their health. I add supplements to my egg food, but if your birds won't eat egg food, that is out. Do they eat any veggies? Anything that has a little moisture will help. And I wouldn't worry about the size of a pinch, or being absolutely accurate on measurements. A friend of mine makes egg food much like my mother cooked--some of this, a bit of that, whatever looks right, she doesn't worry about absolutely accurate measurements, and her birds do fine. When I asked her to show me how she makes her egg food, I had to make her measure things for me! lol

They eat eggfood and spring mix veggies. They just didn't when I had vitamins on it. I haven't been able to get them to take vitamins in food or water.
I think I will start off with a tiny amount and let them get use to it in their eggfood and see how that goes. Then slowly add a tad more.

I mix the vitamins into the raw eggs before I scramble them and then microwave. Then I take a fork and mash them up. I serve my eggfood with veggies and soaked seed and top off with another pinch of vitamins. My birds don't seem to notice or care that the vitamins are on there. But I'm using Morning Bird's Breeder's Blend and Healthy Bird.
Like you said, start off with just a tad bit, slowly increasing it. Maybe they could tell a difference off the bat when you started using it and it turned them off to it? But keep putting it on and they will eventually eat it, I'm sure.

I have finicky eaters too. I also put vitamins in the egg food and I sprinkle spray millet seed (their favorite) into the egg food mix and they will eat the egg food trying to get to the spray millet. I also put spray millet in their flight, but when egg food is served, I take the spray millet out so they go after the seed in the egg food. You have to figure out what will work for you and your birds. Good luck!
