To be honest with you, I'm not sure.
I always make a batch and they eat it the same day.
I know I tried to fridge some of it a couple of years ago, and the next day the birdes looked at it and said PHOOOEE!!!
Not sure how your kids will react to it.

I've added the shell to boiled eggs as well. I grind it really fine with my Magic Bullet. Works really well.
