Bird seed food
So when I went to pick up my regular brand of finch food they were out and I was offered another brand as replacement. My issue is they look way different and I'm concerned that they won't eat it.
The first picture is my new mix and the second is the regular food. Is this ok or is it wrong. The package says for finches and canary. My birds are zebra finches.

I would ask the birds. If you can mix some old with the new as you transition, that is ideal. That may help them adjust. They will tell you if they like it or not.

Unfortunately I was dumb and forgot it was different until I needed it and going out for more is not an option until tomorrow evening. I hope they eat it .

They are bigger and I'm worried as like I said I cannot go out until tomorrow evening. I feel so dumb right now. I don't even have anyone who can run out for me. All I have is a bunch of millet and greens, and egg food on hand. I guess I could try pulling the bigger stuff out and leaving the smaller in.

My zebra finches eat seeds like those just fine... they're hardly picky birds.

Sheather Thank you, they've been picking through it so that's good. My friend is going to grab me some of their regular food tomorrow.

As you have discovered, they will pick though it and eat what they like. Worst case scenario, they will be just fine with only millet. My Indian ring-neck parrot was at the vet for four days recently. He refused to eat anything there other than spray millet. He even gained a bit of weight. Brought him home, and he immediately ate his regular food - exactly what they were feeding him at the vet.
