Hello All Gouldian Breeders And Fans
In my travels on the internet, I found a rather interesting article about Gouldians diet in the wild, compared to Gouldian diet in captivity.
I hope you all enjoy it as well.

I sprouted my first millet a few days ago. I waited a bit too long and let the sprouts grow about an inch.
It smelled very fresh and sprouty, so I fed it to my "boys". OH MY they had a BLAST with it.
Pigeon tried dragging an entire sprig of it into the corner of the cage so he could have it to himself.
I love my "boys" antics! And they stripped it clean, stealing the longest of the sprouts from each other and playing come-and-get-me with the sprouts hanging out of their mouths!

I believe it only mentions 'domestic sorghum' as being toxic, not any other grains that are used in finch diet mixes.

Elana, Interesting article. Thanks for sharing.
Does anyone grow & harvest sorghum for their birds? I'm curious about how difficult it would be to grow.
