I really didn't know under which board to post this topic but I guessed it is this..
Some seeds that were under the water cup started sprouting , to be more precise they are proso seeds , well it is their time to start sprouting but in saw dust (it is more like wood chippings not dust) and it it moist under the water cup but seriously i never saw this coming ..
Is it okay for them to eat the sprouted proso?

The only thing I would be concerned with is possible moldy wood chips. If the millet is sprouting, that tells me the wood chips are pretty damp, and if they stay damp, then mold could develop. If there is no sign of mold, then the birds will probably forage through the wood chips for the sprouts.

Usually sprouted seed is REALLY good for them (it doesn't have to get this long for the nutrition, usually all the sprouting videos, who's that guy I like debbie276?) His direction says you don't want it much longer than chits just that little bit of white when they first start sprouting) So it might be good for them (of course take into consideration what Sally said) but pretty cool, look around this site for all the people that have tried to sprout seed and had nothing but problems!! You weren't even trying an Boom you have sprouted seed! LOL Pretty funny.

lnlovesorange There is no molding going on , so yeah it should be safe , I think i saw a female hop into the little grassy area where the seeds sprouted and started munching on them . ^_^
