Pumpkin???

For a treat I make my two maltese dog food with vegetables and pumpkin and turkey,My question I know finches can eat pumpkin and I think it needs to be cooked.In the fall I do up the small pumpkins and freeze them but I have none left so I will be using can pumpkin,my question can finches eat can pumpkin I never use can veg.I actually don'the eat them myself there is no salt or anything in there except pumpkin so I'm thinking it would be fine.Any advice?

not sure about how well they will eat the puree but it can be used in bird bread.... it is vitamin rich but all I see are those little birds standing knee deep in pumpkin puree!!!

I add a tiny bit in handfeeding formula for my hookbills and javas.

I was laughing when I read your post your right and with the babies I thinking no way unless I mix it with there eggs in there dish so there not standing in it
