egg shells
Does anyone know how long it takes to kill salmonella in egg shells in the microwave,thanks tom.

I read it in one of the links on the gouldian species on the FIC, apparently some micro biologist said it was more effective to boil them than to microwave, but I agree I nuke mine too. I wash them first in water and then microwave for 3 minutes full power. The microwave zaps the food with very high frequency radio waves, practically killing the large proportion of nutrients you want to provide your birds.
Personally I boil for 20 min until hard boiled and give egg (yolk and white), shell, inner lining and all mashed in a dish...
But everyone is different, whatever works for you I guess.
