Hi Betty,
I read jonvill's post regarding canaries using beta carotene in their feathers. I'm not sure if this helps but I've been seeing orange and purple cauliflower at my local grocery store and they are both being advertised as being very high in beta carotene (and they are absolutely delicious roasted with a bit of garlic and lemon ). If you're looking for other natural options, maybe this could do the trick?

Re: My rescue canary
Thank-you Nikki, yes I am trying to go with the natural foods, but challenging to get them to eat them. I am going to look for the orange and purple cauliflower at the stores in my area. We have three different chains of markets so 1 should have them . Hopefully my birds will like it, and Thanks for the recipe I will definitely try roasted with garlic and lemon for me !!! Thank-you so much for the great information.
