I have a question.
I usually lay the spray millet on the cage floor.
But they eat the top side, and the opposite side which is now heavier with seeds, stays UNDER the millet.
How do you guys put the spray millet out, so that the birds get access to all sides of the spray millet?

Hi Gary,
I hang Spray Millet from the top of the flights, or from the walls. I secure it with either clothespins, or metal clips.
If I put it on the floor, it gets pooped on and becomes really disgusting very quickly.

hmmm
I never thought of hanging it from the top of the cage.
But then I only give the pair of gouldians a 3-4 inch section of the spray. I don't want them only eating the spray millet.
I could hang it over the upper perch. That might give them access to all sides of the spray.

I offer Spray Millet quite regularly, and will hang large sprigs of it (2 or 3 clipped together) in each flight quite often.
Although my birds love it, it does not make them stop eating their regular diet. They love variety.
Hanging the millet from the top, makes them fly and have to hang on to the sprigs, which is good exercise for them while they enjoy their snacks.
