Wax Worms and Refrigeration

Post by Chubbychickenbones » Sun Jan 22, 2017 7:35 pm

My female Cordon bleu loves them and today is her first time. Can wax worms also be put in the fridge like meal worms can? How much per day is ok to eat? Thank you :)
Past:
Zebra's, Society, Saint Helena and two hummingbird sized ones that I do not know or remember names of.
Present:
Two Red Cheeked Cordon Bleu's. One male and female paired.
One Green singer

(Planning to add more)

Waxworms do best stored in the fridge, but even then they never seem to last as long as mealies. I always recommend checking them daily and tossing any that look gray and flabby.
Waxworms are very fatty, so unless you're trying to put weight on your girl I would only give her a couple a week.
