Fraza,
I need to look at this again.
I think I tried that net, and for some reason it did not work as well as I had hoped. But it has been too long and I don't remember the details, and of course I did not write things down, so I don't know why I stopped using it.

Oh right it is really annoying when the seed hulls get everywhere though also one of my finches likes to flap it's wings inside the food bowl which is more annoying so now I have made a box that attaches to the outside of the cage made out of see through acrylic which they sit in so the seeds don't get out they stay in that box

I will give it a try and observe how my birds will react, but it will have to wait a little, as we are in the middle of breeding season, with babies popping everywhere, not a god time to change their diet.

You are very right, however you could perhaps start introducing it in small amounts along with their regular food to see if they even try it.

I already provide the pellets along with seeds, some birds like it better than others, but all of them seem to eat it.
