Kale in pet stores

I just typed a version of this message and it disappeared, I believe, so apologies if this is somewhat of a repeat.

I shop at two stores in my small town who sell finches. We had a couple of conversations, pleasant conversations, about whether or not they feed greens to their birds and why not? (I knew I'd never seen any at any time I shopped there.)

Today I took in a clutch, "bunch?" of kale and we all shared delight at the birds leaping on their new found goodies.

I'll try the other store later this week.

it's unlikely that this would be successful in a store where you are a stranger.

Free kale. Hope they'd all see it as a bonus.

I think they'll jump at the free kale, just like their birds.

One Petland employeevwas quite shocked, when I suggested that they should feed hard boiled eggs to their moulting sad looking Gouldians

OK. Not this moment.

I'll do finches, that's what they know I own/mother. I'll run it by you.
