What can I add to my Gouldian finches cage?

I have 2 Male Gouldian finches in a flight cage. I'm looking for suggestions on what I could add to the cage that would be interesting to them and give them something to do. All I have is 2 perches, food trowel and water bowl. I feel that the poor Boys are downright Bored and I'd like to give them something to do during the day.

Any suggestions ?

They would probably like some live plants every once in a while, provided the plants come from a pesticide-free area and aren't toxic. My gouldians like to pick at ferns and magnolia leaves.

Foraging boxes are also good. Get an open container that the birds can't flip over and fill it with grass and seeds, like millet spray. Then the birds can dig through it, mimicking natural feeding behavior.

It's a good idea to position the objects away from the perches, or they will be covered in poop within no time.

Be careful your birds don't get their head caught in the loop. Natural perches like dragon wood, that have various thickness, texture and not straight like a dowel perch would be nice. Small stones or flat rocks on the floor will help keep nails and beak trim, and the birds enjoy the more natural environment. They might like some oat spray which can be purchased at Petsmart. You could add a little timothy hay too. Since they are males, and you don't have to worry about eggs, you could add a nest, maybe a coconut nest.
