millett
Can somebody please explain the difference between red millett and white millett, my two zebras have always enjoyed white millett as a treat but i recently tried them with some red millett and whilst they will eat it they dont seem to stay on it for nearly as long,my question is does it taste different or is it just a different colour?,my two get easily spooked by anything different particularly with food

Re: millett
Do you mean Spray Millet? If so, I've only seen the golden and the brown, and mine seem to like them equally.

Re: millett
There are more than a dozen varieties of millet. They are all seeds of grasses, but not necessarily from the same Genus. White millet is the light beige round seed usually found in Budgie mixes. Red millet is a small round seed frequently found in mixes.
These are apart from spray millet, which I don't know much about.
When offered a choice, my Canaries eat canary seed first, then japanese millet, then white millet, then red millet last. I've been told that the japanese millet is easy to husk and young birds go for it.
