Hi,
I have read a ton of info on here.... You guys are great....
The babies left the nest yesterday... YEAH!!!!!!
Anyhow, I know alot of you all have several types of Finches...
I am trying to get info specifically on Zebra's... and what you feed the babies...

So far I am giving boiled egg with shells 2 times a day, quicko egg food,
sometimes chopped veggies (parents are very picky)
and small amount of Gerber rice cereal mixed in to make the egg drier.
And 2 kinds of seed, one regular and the other is 8 in 1 Ecotrition (grains and greens) and also millet is always in the cage too..and liquid vitamins in the water...
Should I do anything else....

I don't think you have missed anything, got a feast going on there.

I'm not sure about the Gerber rice cereal (never heard of giving that to birds) but all the rest sounds just fine.

I heard somewhere about the rice cereal... I checked the ingredients...
Just rice flour and sunflower oil... and alot of vitamins..
I give 1 tsp. each day mixed in... Should I switch to cornmeal?
I have that too...

And btw, have I said how darn cute the babies are.... ha

If the female is white (with teardrops) not sure on the correct name the store called her a "fancy" and the male is a normal grey... What do you think coloring would be on the babies?
Anyway to know that or no?

Didn't know if the grey would be a more dominant color...
