Goulds eating a lot of charcoal

My Goulds seem to be eating quite a bit of charcoal. I keep it in a small finger cup and have to fill it up every 2-3 days. Mom and Dad and 4 babies are in this cage. They could be scattering some - dut don't find a lot on the bottom of the cage. I had been mixing it in with the grit and mineral mix I use but when I saw that some of you kept it in the finger cups I start doing that also. Just wondered if that seem like a lot to you guys.
Thanks
Terry

Sounds like a lot to me.Although I don't use the finger cups so its a bit hard to judge.I wonder if they are getting enough or even to much calcium?something to think about.

I gave up using those finger cups (have some spare if anyone wants them!) as they are so tiny! I don't think empting a finger cup every 2-3 days is overly much for them and the babies.

Thanks for your quick replies. I will keep a close eye on them and make sure they are OK. Seems to be doing great though.
Thanks again.
