Just wanted to share with you all that I got my free Goldenfeast samples from UPS today. They gave me three bags (about 8oz ea) of Australian Blend....Treat Petite for Finches and a bag of Tropic Fruit V for my Senegal. About 4 weeks ago I visited their website and e-mailed them to see if they send out samples and told them what birds I own. Here is the website in case you want to send for some free samples too.
Goldenfeast Website
It will be interesting to try these out on my Finches and hopefully they will like it. Good timing now that my Owls are feeding babies ( How many I don't know yet but I hear some new noises coming from the nest!) and this might be a good time to see how they take to the new foods.
If any of you are feeding these blends to your Finches I would love to hear what you think of them.
Here are a couples pics of the samples:

They look good. I've sent an email to Goldenfeast as well. Thanks for the tip.

I've just sent an email, too. Free is always good! Plus I'm always open to trying out new foods on my finches.

Hope everyone has better luck than I did. I bought 2 lbs several months ago. NONE of birds will eat it. The plus side, I enjoy the way it smells!
I think it's overwhelming for them. Too many ingredients and they're tiny pieces.

I had also sent them an e-mail.
Got a very nice responsce from them that it was on the way.
If they don't eat it, at least we are not out any money.

I sent one as well!

Hope they don't decide to stop sending free samples as a result of this sudden inundation of requests! I think the fact that the pieces are so tiny, might make it appealing to my GBs.

Maybe it was just the bag I received. It was almost like sawdust. Do me a favor when you receive it and smell it....I'm not sure what that smell is, but it reminds me of when I was a kid and I bought some food for my parakeet in this small bottle. Maybe it's just the fond memories that comes back to me.

Received a reply from them and they will be sending a sample. If my 'avian' kids like it better than the current mix I give them, i'm all for it.
Thanks for posting this Featherharp..

My Owls didn't go near the samples for a few days so I mixed in some eggshell, a smidgen of finch seed and Iodine granuels because I know they like that stuff and now they do go in there and poke around. I don't know yet if they are actually eating the new stuff though.

I asked for a sample of the treat petite because I figured the smaller the better for my GBs. (They emailed today to say it was on it's way.) I know it has a lot of ground seeds in it, so I imagine it could have quite a bit of powder in it. So I guess if they don't like it dry, it could be moistened a bit and they might like it that way. Now you have me really curious to "smell" it and see if it triggers any feelings of nostalgia in me!

I figured what the heck and I sent an email to them yesterday. Got a response today and they are shipping me a "...variety of samples for [my] zebra finches."
And for some reason, they thanked ME at the end.
Thanks for the heads up. I will post when I receive my items. They said 7-10 processing time and i suspect a few days shipping. Maybe 2 weeks before I have this stuff.
Goulds, Owls, Gold Breasts, Stars, Zebras, Societies
An obscene number of chicks and eggs
And an incredibly rare St. Goldena Breast finch
Anyone want some finches???

These folks know how to create good Customer Relations. Let's just hope that some of us have better luck with it than Jordan (Atarasi). If so, it was worth it to them to sent the samples as they'll gain a few good customers!

I'm in on this too - got my reply a few days ago. We will see how the food is accepted/eaten by the finches in a couple of weeks.
