I have some liquid iodine from ladygouldianfinch.com
It says to use 2 drops per 1 qt of water
but it doesnt say how often to feed it.
Is this a daily or weekly thing?

2 drops doesn't sound a lot...I put a teaspoon full in a litre of water (Roughly 2 pints)... On one day a week.(Manufacturers recommended dose for cage birds and poultry)

maybe it depends on the manufacturer strength. The type I use is by morning bird and it says to use 2 drops per quart just like Cntrymeadow's. What brand do you use poohbear?

Not one you will come across I don't think...it's from the Scottish Islands...I would have thought the manufacturer would mention dosage in his literature...mine did.

On their website it says:
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Add two drops of LIQUID IODINE to one quart of clean drinking water.
Use daily and as bird’s only source of drinking water. Safe for young and adult birds. Keep container closed before and after use. This product is free of pesticides. Store in a cool, dry place.
Guess that's why the lower dose? Because it's given daily.
