Think I can feed the finches squash guts? and should I roast them first? I thought they might like all those seeds

I could see them eating some of the pulp, but would be surprised if they ate the seeds.
Let us know how it goes over.

Squash guts are high in vitamin A, very good for finches.

I decided to roast the guts and gave them to them, they picked at them quite happily, but the seeds are far too big for them to get into, I'm going to crush some up in the food processor and see if they like that any better tomorrow
Quinoa is something I've been thinking of getting and trying myself since it is so good for you, that's a great suggestion thanks kenny!

Good to see this is a safe food.
After reading this.
I gave mine some of that skinny little zucchini squash.(treat before bedtime, this time lol, just wanted to see if they would eat it)
My mom had it frozen in slices. When I thawed it out it was soft.
They loved it , they left the rine(spell) but ate the seeds too.
