fruit and vegetable safe list?

hi everyone..sorry if it right in front of my nose, but I did a search and couldn't find a specific list of fruits and veggies that are fine for finches...anyone have a link they can share with me? I bought some black berries and was going to crush them up and offer it to my Gouldies, but thought the better of it...just in case...

Pretty much anything but avocado.

Also - I know Arugula isn't on either lists (safe or unsafe) - but I accidentally got it once thinking it was Watercress and it caused my birds some sort of irritation because they immediately began regurgitating after they ate it.

Not sure if its because it's quite peppery or what, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Last night I was eating an orange.. and I said... finches need oranges!!! So i tossed in a tiny piece of orange in the treat dish of all my finches. My zebras went INSANE!!! They ripped into it like a shark into its dinner. Destroyed the entire 1/3 slice in mere minutes.

My male star was scared of it at first and then afterwards every time i saw him the rest of the night, I was catching him red handed with a face full of orange. My gold breasts also pecked at it and were enjoying it quite a bit.

My female star who is in a hospital cage didnt get any since she is on a strict round of monitored fluids with antibiotics, couldnt afford to push too much Vit.C into her and outbalance the other minerals. Oh well, she can have some next week when she gets off the antibiotics.

That's good to know. I just got a package of arugula at the store today, thinking I would try it with them, so I will forget that idea.
