Kelp

I have been offering Kelp in a small dish to my Gouldians and Shafttails. The Gouldians eat a little of it every so often. The one Shafttail tried it for the first time yesterday. He tasted it, then flitted about the cage, wiping his beak and acting like he hated the taste; holding his mouth wide open and shaking his head. I thought he hated it, but he went back two more times, each time doing the same things.
Anyone else feed Kelp?

I add liquid kelp to their drinking water on and off year around. It's especially needed when they are moulting. Does wonders for a bald head.

I use Kelp...I have it in both the powdered form and in granules. I prefer to use the powder to mix in with eggfood. The granules I serve in a seperate dish or mix in with seed.

I give powdered kelp.
Vetbridge, that's funny the way your shafttail reacted to it. I've seen people have the same reaction to a new food.
