Need some Millet Spray

Post by Finch Fry » Thu May 21, 2009 10:00 pm

Got to get some millet spray. Trying to figure out if its more economical to buy online or just go to the local shop and pick up the crappy millet they have in stock to get me by until I get to atlanta in july and get another monster bag of millet.

Anyone have any good places online to get millet spray?
Goulds, Owls, Gold Breasts, Stars, Zebras, Societies
An obscene number of chicks and eggs
And an incredibly rare St. Goldena Breast finch
Anyone want some finches???

I buy my millet from Emily McLain of Gammy's Finches.
She sells the California Golden Spray Millet for ~$18 per 5lb box and her shipping is really economical, the cheapest I found, and she'll work with you to get the cheapest rate available.

Her website is www.gammysfinches.com or you can just email her here:
esmclain1@yahoo.com

Tell her I sent you to her (I don't benefit, I just want her to know she's great!)

She also has the 25lb boxes now for ~$70 I believe :)
Or, smaller quantities - not sure what you need!

I agree!

Emily has great shipping rates! I'm ordering the 25# box and I was expecting a terrible price but her price was affordable.

When my regular source stopped stocking bulk amounts of millet I did some searching online and came up with this link.

http://www.bird.com/item/kaytee-millet- ... ct/513133/

I have ordered twice from them and got excellent service. Shipment arrived in no more than two days. Plus there for awhile they had a sweet deal on shipping. Don't know if that is in effect anymore since our regular source has since restocked the spray millet so we've gone back to purchasing it from them.

Also out of all of the spray millet we've tried with our Zebra's, the Kaytee Gold is definitely their favorite. On the rare occasions when were transitioning between two brands, all cages would polish of the gold before breaking down and eating any of the other stuff.
30+ Zebra Finches (The actual number constantly changes) 2 Rabbits (1 Mini Rex, 1 Dutch), 1 Grouchy Old Fart, and 1 Dang Redhead

I'm partial to the California millet spray. Ordering from Gammy saves me several dollars in both the price and shipping compared to LGF.com. Thanks for the link Tiffany.
