Yesterday, I took Parsley, romaine (outer green part of leaf), carrots and finely chopped it in my food processor. I gave it to all my birds, of course Louey lovebird turned his nose up at it. The finches loved it, they all ate it. Today I put it out again and included a scoop of fresh chopped boiled egg. No one ate the egg but the veggies was a hit.

So what veggies do your birds love the most?

Oh and I serve it in seed cups!!!!!

Mine all love a mixture of brocolli, carrot, cucumber, with ground almonds and a little cod liver oil. Throw everything in the food processor and away we go.

My birds love kale, and broccoli rabe leaves the best. I give them organic lettuces, and brocolli florets, peas, corn, spinach, and I have arugula growing in my garden. First two, the best though.

My birds LOVE Kale, Collards, Chard whole clipped to the cage.
In the processor they love broccoli, carrots, a little red pepper (vit. a), apple, zuchini, etc :)

Re arugula: be careful.. have you tried it yet?
I accidentally grabbed it thinking it was watercress and it caused severe crop irritation in my birds.
They all violently started regurgitating within seconds after consuming it.. I think because it's relatively spicy..

Mine love the broccoli, kale, chard, carrot 'slaw', also cucumber and zuchinni. I couldnt believe how much my Societys loved the kale the first time I gave it to them. I roll it and slice it into tiny shreds. This morning I figured I'd give them a bigger helping since they gobbled it up so fast yesterday. The male immediately swooped down, before my hand had even left the cage, grabbed a piece and flew back up to the nest. The darn little buggers have been using it for nesting material! They had their nest packed full! :D They have alot of nesting material available. Little stinkers!... and literally would have been just that, if had I not seen the nest.

I have a spot in my yard where I empty my seed dishes. I feed these sprouts to my birds. I feed canned fruit salad chopped with romaine. I also feed cucumber.

This morning I ground up parsely, romaine, carrot, green apple (minus the skin, it was to shiny) and an egg shell and all. My Gold breast just sit and have a conversation over it. My Helena and OC and owls went right for it.

What if I took raw eggs, mixed it with parsely, broccoli tops, carrot, whole wheat flour, apple sauce or water or soy milk and baked it until firm in little muffin tins lined with cup cake cups...would they eat it?
