Seeds should make up less than 20% of a finches daily diet?

I read that here, is that true? Do people really find a way to do that?

I couldn't agree less.

Finches are seed eating birds - forcing them into a pellet diet is unnatural and unhealthy.

I can't think of anything worse for them than a non-natural, preserved, extruded food that is far from anything "living" like a seed, or nuts and fruits growing on a tree..

Damn.....fifty years of breeding finches and I've been feeding 'em all wrong :shock:

Yes, I don't see that as possible either. What do you guys have available for your finches at all times?

should read : 90% is all different kinda seeds and the rest is like eggfood and insects ... with that your birds will be all okay
