Is this yellow cornmeal safe?

I was recently told that yellow cornmeal is a good dry ingredient in eggfood to create a crumble that doesn't go bad as quickly as moist egg food (thanks for the tip Sally!). What I need to know now is if the cornmeal I have is safe for the birds. Here are the ingredients:
Yellow Cornmeal
INGREDIENTS: Enriched degermed yellow corn meal (NIACIN, IRON [REDUCED], THIAMIN MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID)
Allergy Warning: May contain traces of milk, eggs, wheat and soy.

On the front the bag says:

Yellow Corn Meal
Enriched, Degerminated
(no artificial flavors or colors)
Is there anything about he information I've given you that would make you reluctant to feed this to your birds? I know dairy is toxic to birds but the bag says MAY contain TRACES. Should I really be worried?

I also purchased a bottle of cod liver oil capsules to mix in with the eggfood, here's some info about that as well:
Natural Cod Liver Oil
Vitamin A & D

INGREDIENTS: Cod liver oil, Gelatin, Glycerin, Water

No Gluten, No added preservatives, No artificial colors, no artificial flavors
I was planning on just popping a soft gel open and squeezing it into the egg food. If anything here looks fishy to you don't hesitate to let me know!

Hey Domenic,
I don't know much about corn meal and making your own. I get the dry egg mix. The base of it is cornmeal. Some brands contain probiotics which is a big plus for good gut flora and strong immune systems. Feast brand does contain the probiotics. Seems a ready made with vitamins would be an easier way to go maybe. Most pet stores will crry some brand, Higgins, ABBa, etc. Below is a picture of 2 brands that I had on hand The left is Miracle Meal/ I give this to my grasskeets as it is a coarser mix. The one on the left is ABBA and is finer. The base is corn meal..the yellow bits are dried egg, and then some nice seeds and vitamins. My gouldians eat this stuff dry :D

That cornmeal looks OK to me I use some in my egg food also but I only use like a teaspoon or so in my mix each day along with miracle meal and home made boiled and mashed eggs.
I have got cod liver oil and wheatgerm oil from a local health food store in 8oz &16oz but I use mostly the wheatgerm oil myself

What about adding some high quality crumbled pellets in place of the cornmeal to add some "thickness" to the egg food?

Domenic, that looks the same as the brand I have used--Aunt Jemima. It won't hurt your birds. You can start out using the cornmeal, and then experiment with different dry ingredients to dry out your eggfood. For my smaller birds, the most important thing seems to be making the food small enough, so I grind most dry ingredients first. Pellets especially get ground to a powder, if used. You can grind them in a blender.
