I am looking for a place to buy eggshell - I have always bought from Audubon Workshop and they no longer have it per my conversation with them today. They could not tell me if they would be getting it in again or not. Does anyone have any other source for buying eggshell that is not overly expensive?
Thanks for your help.

You might be able to get a restaurant or diner to save some for you. You just have to clean it, as they won't clean the shells for your. Go to the ones open for breakfast, as then you will have a greater chance for shells.

I order it from Tiffany/nixity. My birds love it.

The product they are referring to is manufactured by Twin Beaks Aviary and the product name is "Hatched!"
It is 100% human grade, sanitized, pesticide free egg shell, with no preservatives or artificial coloring.
It is tested negative for lead, arsenic, mercury, e.coli, salmonella and staph.
It is manufactured in a US FDA regulated facility and packaged using FDA approved materials.
Yes, you can get them from restaurants but I guess what you decide to do depends on how much spare time you have

I don't have the time to clean and sterilize eggs from a local diner.
The prices are:
1lb - $4.50
2lb - $8.00
5lb - $16.95

LadyGouldian.com sells them. I buy them all of the time from them. Try and find out whose closer to you so shipping will be cheaper.

jimlas43, have you ever gone to Bird Supply of New Hampshire? They have a store in Nashua, NH. You wouldn't have any shipping at all, if they are close.

Oh yes I have

I am approx. an hour north from there. I also order stuff through the mail as well if I am not going down that way. They do not carry some of my favorites that the LadyGouldian site does so I use them both.

Well generally with the egg shell you can ship flat rate so the shipping will be the same regardless of where it's going
