I Froze the Cole Slaw

I bought a whole bag of cole slaw mix, and when I realized that it would start going bad before I could even make a dent in it, I stuck it in the freezer. When I defrost it the cabbage becomes much more translucent than usual and looks a bit watery. Is it still ok for the birds or is it useless now?

I don't think it would be good for them :(

I don't think coleslaw freezes well--I'd toss it.

It is kind of like lettuce if you freeze it, the water inside crystalizes when it is frozen. I agree, toss it!

Darn—I'll toss it.

Thanks guys. If anyone has anything too add please don't hesitate.

Edit: Do you think the outside birds would eat it? We have pigeons, crows, and little brown finches that live here.

Domenic, I would just toss it, it probably contains to much water, could make them sick and it might spoil out in the sun and heat.
