Niger or sesame?

I used to use sesame(both black and yellow type) in my seed mix for finch, as I see, they do eat it, but not much. But I can't cut sesame from the mix, cuz they contain oil and large amount of calories, and good not for birds but for human, too.
Anyway, I've just discovered a shop near my house selling niger seed, I bought some, and put in a seperate dish, and surprisingly, all of my birds go for it!!
I did some research about Niger seed and I think, well, if the bird love it that much, and it has pretty much same ingredients and usage as sesame, maybe I can replace sesame by it.
I want to know, if any of us here did use both of them? I heard that niger can be used to make the bird singing more :-? , since it contains lots of oil, willl it be useful for young and molting birds?

my goldbreast likes the niger soaked. But she doesn't seem too interested in it otherwise.

My Euro Goldfinches loveee the Niger. All the other birds pick at it, they seem to like it sprouted better. I always put a small amount of sesame seed in their eggfood (Green Day). .. they all gobble it up.
