Missing feathers

Hi guys, I recently sold a grey female zebra to a friend of mine.

Shortly after her rehoming she starts to loose a lot of feathers on her underside and belly, the spot seems to be growing and my friend can see no new feathers forming.

What popped first into my mind was plucking of course but seemed rather unusual place for that. Then I remembered that when she was getting into her first molt she lost quite a lot of feathers, so I was wondering if her feather type is like this.

I'm goning to go and get her this weeked and give my friend another bird instead, and see what I can do for her.

Anyone had a case like this?

ps. other birds that are with her in a cage show no similar symptoms
