I have a hen that looks like she has splayed legs. When she stands on a perch her feet are to the side of her and spreads out when on a smooth perch.
Well today something odd happened to her.
Her right leg looks like it is locked in the "to the side" angle. She can't rest on the perch with her feet under her like she used to.
I put her in a hospital cage to keep a closer eye on her.
I put Liquid Calcium in the water, if it is calcium deficiency.
Which it might be, as she was the one that had trouble staying on the perch when she preened herself.

Re: splayed leg to ?
So sorry to hear the poor little hen has another problem
I have a cock bird with a bad foot and that leg is splayed out. He's had it all his life though. Sorry I can't help you but I know someone on the Forum will be able to. Good luck!
