Gouldian seizure...

Post by ibon_337 » Thu Aug 11, 2011 7:29 pm

What are your thoughts about gouldian finch having a seizure? One of my gouldian chicks have three seizure episodes this morning and after that th chick is ok. S/he is eating and drinking. Prior to the events this morning the chick have been sleeping most of the time. Currently in a seperate cage with heat emiter.

I have a parrotlet that has seizures so I know they can. I hold him for a while and he's fine again. Hope your Gouldian is okay.

We believe that one of our Shaft-tails have seizures. Every 4-5 months or so she goes to the bottom of the cage, breathes heavy and then progresses into twitching. She's come out of it every time and acted like nothing ever happened, though you would have thought she was going to die if you saw her 24 hours before.
