? about indigo bird's health
I noticed that my younger bird just sits on the perch and doesn't really fly around while the other one flies around him, over him and is so hyper I can't tell which of the two is normal behavior. I have a heat lamp in case he doesn't feel well. He is fluffed out while sitting on the perch. He eats and drinks, preens but isn't really active. Any ideas? He is in quarantine so I am watching them closely. Stool appears normal but I am new so I don't really know what to look for. Thanks.

Angie, the birds may need time to adjust...they went from the breeders to a show to your home a new environment with new noises, routines, foods and people. Heat is good for starters.
What are you giving them as far as food? Any boiled grated eggfood, pellets, romaine?
As far as general appearance...any trouble breathing after flight? any nasal discharge?
