Greetings to all, I own australian zebra finch for two and a half years, lately I started to consider for his flying, because he only use his wings when he must get somewhere where he cant' jump, only time he spent in hes cage is night in the morning i let him out of cage cause he is to anoying and loud and he want out, and hes just fly over to some like mini house garden of my mom, and stay there all day jumping and running around flowers, fly where he cant climb and stuff but thats all near ground, hes normal healthy bird, active, eating normal, hes normally loud, but I'm afraid that he could "forget" how to fly high and long and stuff. Any advice would be helpfull, and sorry for my bad english.
cheers

Re: Flying
I also let my finches out, and they also don't spend a lot of time just flying for flying's sake. A few loopdy-loops but mostly they perch and hop. As a result, I don't think they have the stamina that a wild bird has, that must fly more to find food or avoid predators. I don't know what you can do about that, however.
