Droopy wings in zebra

Post by dnh314 » Tue Jun 19, 2012 4:08 pm

Hi everyone, is there something wrong with my male penguin zebra finch he doesn't fold his wings back tight like my female penguin does it looks almost droopy sometimes, he does eat, sing, and fly around the cage, but i'm just worried that he's sick. He also puffs up sometimes, no labored breathing and droppings look normal. They are kept outdoors and I'm in Southern California where the weather has been in the 70's since I got them this week.

Some of my young zebras do this. Maybe he's just relaxed? Lol

It is so hard to tell from a bird whether they are sick or just being lazy like relaxing. Since he looks very healthy though, I wouldn't worry too much.

He looks fine to me too. Just like people, birds have different body types and sizes. I really don't think there's anything wrong with him.

Some of my younger zebras do this too occasionally! He looks just fine. I think they do it when the are feeling indifferent.

Just keep an eye on him for any changes. Better safe than sorry. :)
