Is Lincomycin / Spectinomycin too costly ?

Another good tip from a pigeon racer - LINCOMYCIN/SPECTINOMYCIN is most generally used for CRD chronic respiratory disease. If you treat for ASM and the problem was chronic then you may need to use this to battle left over infection to get the problem completely cleared up. You dont have to spend big dollars to purchase this just go to your local feed store and ask them for LS-50 which is Lincomycin/Spectinomycin and you'll probably get a bag containing 73 grams for about 25 bucks. Read the package for how many active antibiotic grams are contained inside then do the math to calculate how to mix your dosage.
If at all possible avoid the use of antibiotics however if you do have to use them a good rule of thumb is always follow antibiotic treatment with equal days of a good probiotic and change this twice daily because it spoils in warm weather.
Probios ( again at the farm store ) is a good effective probiotic and 10 bucks will get you a large container that will last a long time. Paul
