I need your help. I have a cock that has been puffed up a couple days now. He has no clicking or heavy breathing, just puffy, sleeping during the day (under a warm light) and I checked his vent which looks clear. As I put him back in his cage he pooped and it looked like clear water. All my birds were recently treated with S76. He has been in a cage with a 2+ month old juvenile bird which appears healthy. Any ideas on what this might be and best way to treat? I have Ronsivet, Tetratex, Amtyl and Ronavet (by Morning Song) on hand. I would appreciate any input you can provide and thank you in advance. Looking forward to my order which is on it's way now. Have a great day!
Judy

Re: Sick Bird
Is his breast bone sharp without any meat? Any other symptoms? What have you been feeding them? Is he molting?
These questions may help someone attempt to diagnose what may be wrong.
good luck

Re: Sick Bird
Gary from Frisky Finches called me and told me it sounded like Canker and advised to treat with Vetafarm Ronivet and Feather Glow. So I am treating the entire flock now. I know many are not online currently, but I am so glad to get speedy help.

Re: Sick Bird
No other symptoms. Not molting. Breastbone seems normal. I feed all of them these two seeds mixes combined daily (no wet foods):Frisky Finches Exclusive
Blend # 1: Premium "Daily Breeder" Seed Mix for all Gouldian Finches, Canary's, Finches and Small Birds. This mix contains 12 high protein nutritional seeds needed every day for a balanced diet and healthy feathers.
Frisky Finches Exclusive
Blend # 2: Premium "Breeding, Molting & Winter" Seed Mix with hemp seed for all Gouldians, Canary's, Finches & Small Birds. This mix contains 5 high protein seeds needed during molting, breeding and colder weather.
Gary from Frisky Finches called me and he seemed to think it is Canker and advised me as to how to treat it, so I am currently giving the entire flock Ronivet and Feather Glow for 7-10 days.

Re: Sick Bird
I would have thought if it was canker you'd see/hear coughing and/or sneezing and also notice him trying to clear his throat.
Glad you could get a quick response, good luck.
