Diagnosis and treatment

Post by metinemre » Wed Jul 24, 2013 4:14 pm

Is there a chart or a helpful sticky post etc anywhere that makes it easier to diagnose and treat the birds?

Such as

Disease:xxxxx Symptoms/problems:1=xxxxx 2=xxxxx 3=xxxxxx Medication:xxxxxxx Treatment:xxxx

We used to prepare a table to make diagnosis and treatment very easy for fish.

Thanks a lot.

So here is the link where there are a lot of meds etc.
http://www.finchniche.com/shop-meds.php

Are there any of these that you always keep at hand in the cabinet; to be able to treat immediately. Like meds for common diseases?

I keep the birds indoors and won`t be taking them outside. I guess that eliminates some possible problems.

http://www.finchniche.com/product_herbsalad.php

prevention sounds allright, also 4in 1 if we can`t diagnose the sickness?

Those are all good options. Lorraine at finchniche.com is willing to help people diagnose if they're not sure what to order etc.

I happen to like Morning Bird products. They make many of the products I use. The Thrive that finchmix22 is referring to is Morning Bird's Thrive. Here is a link to the Morning Bird product page, you can see what they offer. Several of our forum members are distributors for Morning Bird products, or you can do a search for online sellers. Our forum members that carry Morning Bird products are listed in the Avian Business Listings section of the Resources forum.

Lorraine at finchniche.com is willing to help people diagnose if they're not sure what to order etc.
Just a correction, Laraine is at http://www.ladygouldian.com/ not the finchniche.

The finchniche is Myra and Joanne. Also the finchniche and ladygouldianfinch is one and the same, they blended their sites together a couple years ago now.

Debbie
Thanks for clarifying the ladies at ladygouldian etc. I always think of them as part of both sites, but maybe not?

Laraine and Joanne are sisters and they split several years ago, since then Joanne brought in Myra to her site (Myra had the finchniche). If you type www.ladygouldianfinch.com/ or www.finchniche.com/ it brings you to the exact same page :D

Laraine has her own www.ladygouldian.com site, the names are so similar it kinda gets confusing, just want to clarify for those looking for Laraine's help.
