Indeed, thanks for those links!
That second one with the various sources for each nutrient is very helpful!

I got a great food list enclosed in an order from AllBirdProducts.com.
It has all the good foods, and all the to-avoid foods too.
I have it taped up on my fridge for easy reference.
Not sure if it's available on their site as a printable; it's a great reference.
Humum to....
13 Zebra Finches....and 2 squeeps!
3 Society Finches
6 Gouldians
1 Weaver
1 Pintail Whydah
2 Cockatiels
2 Parakeets

....along with 1 MinPin, 1 Pug, 1 JRT, 1 Yorkie, 2 Chihuahuas and 15 cats.

All that information is only a click away, the link is to the Finch Information Center in the upper left side of this forum under Helpful Finch Link: There is a ton of information in there in all different catagories, poke around.

In one of the article I read that if they are getting egg and sunflower seed they'll get everything they need. I tend to agree with Sally in that if rather they get their nutrients in what they eat vs supplements. I did order some calcium and soluvite D so I have them on hand.

I tried some tough love yesterday. Pulled their food to make them hungry so they eat the egg food. They ate but only after a long time and they were very unhappy with me.

I didn't know you could get liquid calcium supplements at the drug store. It's really good to mentions that, and good that I know. I wish I knew it back when I had egg bound birds and was desperate. I thought the nearest calcium was 75 miles, and it was a mere 35. Really it would have been a life saver to know. Now I keep it on hand but I'll bet all the newbies would love to know.
