Regarding the NV Powder, I don't know that I've ever seen it sold in store, but it is easily ordered online from several places.

Thanks for mentioning it Sally. That's a great idea for the upcoming Mart. I'll mix up a couple of jugs to take with me to use for their water. :)

Since we know some wild birds carry diseases and can have something contagious, keep the sparrow in quarantine to make sure he stays healthy once he is weaned. Since he'll be bonded with you, you can keep him separate from the finches.

Here is a link to an article I found about the diseases that can be transmitted from birds to humans. Though the likelihood may be remote, it is something to be aware of. Each person has to decide for themselves how much testing they are comfortable doing, and how they will maintain their birds.
