Glade Plug-in or Other Air Fresheners

Post by HeyItsRaymond » Thu Jan 15, 2015 2:57 am

I was wondering if using a Glade Plugin or similar air fresheners will have a negative health impact on my Finches.

I'm not going to be spraying the cage or anything, I just want to place a few in my living room with the closest being 10-12 feet away from the cage.

What do you think? Any advice?

This is a Glade Plugin in case anyone was wondering:

I've heard that the fragrance is dangerous for birds. Now I have, on occasion used a glade plugin with my birds at about the same distance you want. Only when I have guests coming over...to counteract the dog smell :( ... And the birds seem fine. BUT, it is really strong and I can't keep it plugged in for more than an hour or two because it makes me sick, so assuming that birds have a more sensitive respiratory system, I wouldn't use one. I do use essential oil air fresheners and those smell much better. I believe citrus Magic air fresheners are also safe to use around pets ( I just don't like the smell of them)
