Well, after a while Celeste and William seem to both make the "snaa" sneezing sound. It seems like they do it a lot when they drink water and bathe. They also do it randomly sometimes when they are doing normal activities. Celeste has as well been a little horny this month. It seems like she does it every morning. Are female Zebra Finches normally like this in the morning? I guess its because she's turning 5 months on the 10th of May. Oh great.. Well, William doesn't know what to do so that's good. He doesn't hop on top. He just stands there and looks at her thinking, "What am I supposed to do". What do you guys think about the sneezing thing. it sounds sorta like a "snaaaa" sound. Also, Willies only 3 months old is it normal for him to not know how to mate this early?

I'm trying to prevent them from breeding but soon I feel as if he will know what to do.

Maybe a trip to the vet is in order. Guessing at what could be wrong with your birds, isn't really the best idea. Are you sure its a sneeze and not a zebra vocalization? Upload a video when you have a chance.

Ginene I've tried capturing a video and it's a soft sound. The noise won't pick up.
delray I'm not trying to breed them at all. And yes Williams 3 months.

Sorry, I do not have any answer for you. I can only suggest seeing an avian vet.

Seed in the poop is a sign of upper digestive, rather than lower digestive problems and can be due to several illnesses, such as megbacteria, coccidiosis, worms, etc. I would treat the finch and cage as a whole by putting Rolex 12% in their water for 5 days and then just give filtered water and watch them. Check to see if he is thin, the breast bone feels sharp if they are losing weight. If he feels light, then give some Thrive or Vitalize in the water and add homemade eggfood and put a heat bulb on one side of the cage, so he can get away if he is too hot, but can sit under the bulb if he is cold. Good luck!

Derk they are just fine. I've given them heat and egg and still act normal. I think they need time to settle.

Well that's good news. You would think if it was something more serious, there would be more symptoms by now.
