anything like worm or parasites that steal the nutrients can cause any bird to go light... can you post a clear up close picture of the droppings so we can take a look at it?
When looking at the dropping look for more of a white sleeve over the entire dropping, are there undigested seed in the droppings, worm like strands in the droppings, are they soft, loose, runny and mostly yellow. Do they have a clear, slimy coating to the droppings? Are they huge and white?
