Congratulations!
I was wondering where did you get these birds? I have been looking for Goulds in the western PA/ Western NY area (my in laws live in Geneseo NY if you know where that is)

Re: gouldian rescue
I found most of my gould s on craiglist. I got a pair from BB on this forum and 1 from another local keeper. Sometimes I see them in pet shops but rarely I also picked one up from a bird fair in buffalo. When I'm searching I actually find Pennsylvania has more than new York. Allentown on eBay seems to be a hot spot. I believe if you look in the market place someone in Baltimore has some not sure how close that is to you. If you look hard enough you should find plenty in Pennsylvania.

spn1979 I enlarged that photo, and what a great picture of a newly-hatched chick! Mama is keeping a watchful eye, too.

Sally
Thx Sally I'm glad my girlfriend talked me into a smartphone but if you look a little closer you can make out 2 in the photo the only 2 I think I'm gonna get out of the 6 eggs. I'm happy to have them it's been a roller coaster ride with this pair. First I had to get them healthy, than 4 nights before they hatched I came home at 2 in the morning after work to find there nite life off and they all had the frights. Not sure how long they were off the nest. It took me over an hour to get her back in the nest .she seemed content to abandoned and fall asleep on the perch so I removed them. Luckily we she went back in or I woulda had to duct tape her in for the nite lol. As this pair was sold to me as proven I gave them back the nest they were use to (a little shallow for me) just to find today one baby accidentally drug out of the nest. I put it back in and all is fine for now.
