That's great that her balance is recovered.
I'll bet it's exactly what we thought it was - adjustment to the sudden loss of that weight from the mass, perhaps combined with some effects from the sinus infection (the sinuses are attached to the respiratory tract, which is attached to your ears.)
Agreed with Cindy 100% on doing a longer course of antibiotics - minimum 2 weeks, followed by probiotics. She may need a tad bit longer than 2 weeks, depending on how she progresses. She's had this infection for a long time, so it's well established and her immune system may be significantly weakened, making recovery slower. I'd treat her for 2 weeks or at least 5 days beyond when she seems well - whichever is longer.
I also agree with keeping her in the cage. You don't want to expose her to any opportunistic illness from the others. And you want to limit her activity so she can put all her energy toward healing.
She is definitely a tough little cookie! I love seeing the pairs who are super bonded and kind to each other when one is sick.

the anitibiotics are going to knock the good gut flora back quite a bit, use soft foods that are easy to digest like boiled grated egg. You will want to forgo the greens for now especially the ones with a higher water content. You want her to get her only moisture supply from the medicated water if this is how you are dosing her. Add powdered vitamins and minerals to her soft food, it will help her system stay strong.

Re: WARNING!! Not for the Feint of Heart...or Stomach..
I'm glad you mentioned the soft food. I am going to try miracle meal. As I tried and put eggs in the cage yesterday, (which she used to LOVE) and from what i can tell, she didn't touch them... that worries me, she's always been a good eater... I do see her eating her seed (which is a high in fats moulting/breeding seed) i only changed it to this recently as I though she needed it because of everything she's been through... but for her to not devour eggs, and then I put down egg shells separate, i used to not be able to get my hand out before she was down there chompin on egg shells, and again nothing. I did notice that she has been sitting on top of her feeder (it's one of those neat feeders so there's a small flat area on the to she can sit on) and she sits there a lot it's in front of the cage so I think it might be because the heater i have pointed at the cages she can feel the warmth the best there, and i sprinkled some of the egg shells on that, and she did eat them up there... so i felt a little better.... any ideas on any other soft food I could try? Thanks all

Can you try grating the egg and add a bit of finely grated peeled carrot. She might not feel well with the antibiotic on board. You can soak and sprout or chit millet... will she eat plain millet, if so give her as much as she wants since you need her to eat.
Hope she starts feeling better soon.

Hi Cindy. I do not know a lot about antibiotics but I am wondering if this one is hard on the liver. If it is, do you ever recommend milk thistle?
